At a megathread on Reddit, players point out that the significant source of issues comes out of Microsoft's underdeveloped storefront. The difficulties don't stop there. Players are currently undergoing lags in hub places. Phantasy Star Online 2 is redownloading adding in each bugfix the group installs. Writer Sega and microsoft are not currently fixing the problems for Phantasy Star Online 2. The players are taking the initiative to take care of exactly what the publishers will not.

PSO2 Tweaker allows additional curricular configurations and more for gamers. Phantasy Star Online 2 players are utilizing an loader called PSO2 Tweaker. For years, this program was North American players' gateway to the servers. It does downloads for updates. It can do granular graphics settings inaccessible to the original launcher.

Arks-Layer also has many support software made for PSO2. These include ability tree calculators and event trackers for Phantasy Star Online 2. For one, the player is needed by the Tweaker. Reddit includes a step by step instruction to help players begin. Phantasy Star Online 2 is available for download through the launcher and is free to play. Players that do not want to utilize the Tweaker can access it out of the Windows Store.

I have not played PSO since Phantasy Star Online 2Cube and that I was super simple to do so, but after attempting to install it... I just completely gave up on it. It's really a shame that the launch has been this kind of technical disaster, because unless they fix it very fast it's likely to leave a bad taste in a great deal of possible players mouths and likely turn them from it forever. This annoys me the most about it. People today keep calling it a western release but it's not anything more than a NA release. I was actually excited about trying it but not being in NA I'm shit out of luck unless I change my windows region or store region or whatever and I simply refuse to do this out of principle.

Do you think this will cause other Japanese publishers to shy away from the west? I believe that's the long-term worry. They always appear to ignore the free money on the table by a NA/EU launch of things. They just don't seem to care for their western audience in any way. It is baffling since it cash but they simply can't be arsed to try. I'm starting to think it would be too much of a pain and they can't be bothered to study it because they would need to read English. That said I don't believe things will change. I mean that the servers are still super complete despite the issues.
